    From the review link.

So, it basically comes down to price. At $379 it represents OK but not standout value, a situation which isn’t improved greatly by the short 12 month (with Class II dead pixel) warranty. Indeed, much better (if slightly older) competitors from Acer, AOC and Asus can be found around this same price. Ultimately then, it’s not very good and not very cheap: very un-Aldi.

    There.

    $329 on clearance multiple stores

  • Anyone seen the PC clearance price?

  • +1

They are now $249 on clearance, picked one up yesterday

Confirmed stock (that I know of)

    Aldi Kepnock
    Aldi Gatton

  • Just saw clearance stock at ALDI Arana Hills QLD. ONE LEFT

  • Bought for clearance price of $199, last one at Newcastle CBD, NSW

    • Any receipt or photos. I picked up on $269. :(

      • Count yourself lucky still. Yesterday I went to four different stores and none had stock left.

        • Not sure if I'm liking the Aldi monitor. I'm noticing the pixels more than my old Asus 27inch..

        • I'm returning the two I bought. Can't stand the pixels. I am coming form an ASUS PB278QR and had them side by side. There is noticable pixels and horizontal lines vs the ASUS PB278QR

          • @R3XNebular: Huh really they should be the same pixel density (unless I understand things wrong) so you shouldn't 'notice more pixels'. Shame to hear that it didn't work out but I guess sometimes you do get what you pay for.

@Ostrk: Might be the Anti-Glare? or Matt but very noticeable to me. Wasn't even looking out for it… Just noticed peoples face on facebook having very visible rows and lines and also with Youtube videos. Maybe ASUS PB278QR is still a decent beast. I compared it to a 1080P Asus monitor and the other monitor also didn't have the visible lines. Returning it to Drewvale Aldi in Brisbane if anyone wants…

@R3XNebular: Thank you R3XNebular, this is the review i was looking for.
I have an Acer X34P and a cheap Viewsonic, in regard to pixel density they are apparently identical, both 1440p. Both IPS and both 10bit colour.
But the Viewsonic looks….blurry or rather unfocused in comparison and everyone purchasing it can't notice it.
It looks fine, but side by side you notice it clearly

                • @HungryBen: Yep I got the wife to see if she could notice the difference but she couldn't. Think it depends on the person. Doesn't hurt to try especially with the Aldi 60 day change of mind return.

Looking back at this, you are SOO lucky

I just picked one up for $269 and I thought I was lucky :(

      • One year on and very happy with the performance of this monitor

        • Makes sense, the monitor is really quite good :)

Now I just need to get a new graphics card which will actually support this 1440P 144Hz hehe

        • Hi there, Thought I'd reply as well, got one a year and a month ago and it's been great. I managed to make a pixel die on mine by pressing on the screen whilst it was on and wet from some spaghetti sauce splashing on it. I had a problem with a stuck pixel before when my cleaner wiped a wet cloth over it whilst it was on to clean it (i was out of the room and didnt realise) but i managed to fix it with a stuck pixel fixer. Kinda annoyed I have a dead pixel but oh well what can ya do.

        • Hey! Just stumbled upon this old thread. I still have my monitor and still hope to keep it for many more years. How is yours holding up?

What a weird co-incidence! I was revisting this thread last week as I was looking for the spec for this monitor which is still working fine. I did wind back the refresh rate from 144 > 120Hz in desktop mode because it was breaking up the image.

But the reason I was here was I was shopping for a monitor to pair it with side by side.

I was after same size, refresh rate, etc. As similar as possible. I eneded up ordering an AOC CQ27G2 for $314.01 on EBay which is very similar except for the curvature. The Erazor has a curve radius of 1800R and the AOC 1500R. I'm hoping the difference won't be apparant when they are side by side.

HAHA what a co-incidence. I was searching my monitor up to see if Aldi has brought it back and how much the price now was. I always knew I got a good deal on this one, one of my best impulse buys.

I've never had that issue with 144Hz breaking the image up except for when I was using a subpar HDMI cable. It's not usually a monitor issue.

The monitor on the other hand has been excellent for me and I'm still so impressed by it. I don't use it as much as I should, because I have a laptop setup which I plug into the monitor when I'm gaming, but regardless I won't be upgrading until this one dies.
