can anyone suggest the right system and best deal for each. i am really inclined towards sony as a i have ps3 as blueray player and it has a look that i love.
can some suggest the best price for each of them. I have got an offer from good guys for $ 950 for sony. is it a good deal?

$900 is about the lowest you will get it for.. Used to work for sony so I know their pricing structure. Good luck bargaining it down to that tho its pretty much cost, they will only be making about $20 which they need to pay staff etc.. Best bet would be a Sony Centre as they get things cheaper from Sony, there are 2 stores in Melbourne.

Hey , I am also looking for speakers as i have z-5500 and amp is blown so I am currently juggling between a new receiver as all the existing speakers I have from z-5500 plus 2 older kenwood boxes which work fine or the Muteki 7600.
I think muteki is an overkill for anyone unless you have a mansion but Yeah They look and perform in a huge way.
I went to good guys yesterday and asked whats the best he can do as I work in dicksmith and made friends with him.
He said I could do it for $840 which I think is one the best price I have ever come through for them and He only had 1 more brand new so seriously I'm juggling .. Please guys I need an advice ….
1) Get a sherwood 6613 receiver for $250 and just get the job done with all the speakers I have..
2) Get a new Muteki 7600 or yamaha 696 which is what jb hifi said is better than muteki in quality

don't worry about posting/emailing the receipt. Went to Good Guys Preston VIC today, told them someone bought it in JBHifi for $786. They currently have a store special price for this item at $895 (with 'FINAL OFFER' written on it), but at the end they are willing to match $786. I was told it is below cost price, and require the manager to approve. Pretty happy with the result. Thanks everyone for the tip.
I bought MUTEKI one on JBHifi Wednesday sale day last month for only $ 788. but in the end after a lot of negative comments from fellow ozbargainers, i cancelled my order and got the refund.
