Has Anyone Successfully Contacted Joybuy?

I bought a Philips electric toothbrush on JoyBuy. It doesn't work now and still in the 2 year warranty period. There was NO tax invoice sent to me in the email. I couldn't find it in the Joybuy website. There might be a hardcopy posted to me together with the item. But obviously it was lost.

Now I try to contact the customer service assistant. There is NOOOOOO response at all. Has any of you experienced similar situation?

  • Not sure what appears for JoyBuy purchases however it works for eBay purchases. Do the following If you paid using PayPal:

    • Open the PayPal receipt you received via email
    • Up the top left of the email you should see "Transaction ID XXX123"
    • Click that
    • It should open up the invoice

Also, can you link the toothbrush so I can try to find a contact me link?
    Cheers

    • Thanks a lot. Yeah, appears JoyBuy is different from Ebay. Didn't find any link. I have my payment receipt. Maybe I will try my luck with it.

      • Check to see if it appears here.

Have you tried their live chat/email? It can be found here

        • Yes I have tried that one. It first appears to language selection (english and russian). Then it gives following message "If you have any questions, please leave us message,we will answer it as soon as possible during working hours from 13:00 to 6:00 the next day (GMT+8)."

I emailed the customer service email address too. But of course, no response.

          • @ykwn: Does the seller have anything listed under the "Seller Guarentees" on the listing?

            • @CC123: It is directly bought from JoyBuy.

              • @ykwn: I guess try to initiate a return. If nothing happens just initiate a chargeback. Chargingback is the only option to 'force' them to respond.

How many days since the date of purchase?

                • @CC123: It's more than a year. But the Philips warranty goes for two years.

                  • @ykwn: Have you tried to register the product and get in contact with Phillips directly?

                    • +1

@CC123: Yes, I contacted Philips. They said they will replace the faulty toothbrush if I can show the tax invoice/receipt.

It is now sorted. Joybuy finally replied my email and send me the tax invoice.

                      Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot. You are very helpful.

                  • @ykwn: But does Philips have international warranty for electric toothbrush? If not, good luck.

                    • @Richardc: Philips have international warranty. That's why I need to have the tax invoice/receipt to proof that it is still in the warranty period.

                      It is sorted now. Thanks.

I've had good experience with chat about items being late, they were timely and responsive.

    • Maybe JoyBuy's working hours is very different from mine. But anyway, I emailed the customer service and got the tax invoice now.

You can't have your cake and eat it as well.

You save money by buying from overseas and warranty is always going to be an issue. I would say that you need to accept that you are likely not going to get warranty after all this time.

    • In many cases yes. But some companies like Apple or Philips accept international warranty.

    • Yes, done that. I need to present the tax invoice/receipt. From JoyBuy's website, they only record the payment transaction, but not tax invoice/receipt. An email was sent to customer service. Now I got all information I need to proof it.

      • OK good luck. I bought a Braun toothbursh from them last month. Hasn't turned up yet but I'll def keep an eye out for the invoice. :)
