First Hot Air Work Station Advice Please

https://www.jaycar.com.au/hot-air-rework-station-300w/p/TS16…

Jaycar is selling station above, it seems like exactly what I want for some hot air soldering but the price seems high, but I'm not knowledgeable in this. Is this an expected price, if not what do you think it is worth or could you suggest a different product please?

I like the temperature range of 100 to 500C and that it has LCD screen to let me know the temperature it is set too.

-Edit-
I've seen products with an included solder iron, but I'm not interested in those as I already have one and the ones attached always seem to look a bit crap. I use a ZD-929B and I'm happy with that.

    • Thank you for that. I can see a used one for $80, being used shouldn't matter, worth it for $80 used?

So I saw this posted by someone else and dismissed it because I hate the look of that soldering iron, however it seems it is detachable and the negative reviews on this product seems to be around the crappy soldering iron anyway. So for $95 delivered it should be what I need I imagine, especially with the DC power supply that I should use since I'm using an assortment old power adapters with the ends stripped.

Not sure about this particular model but IMO Jaycar is generally overpriced for junk quality. I'd be hitting eBay for similar junk at lower prices.

Also, unless you're doing rework consider trading up to a better quality iron instead - sub 0.5mm pitch can be done nicely with an iron with a bit of practice. In this regard Jaycar actually do have a good offering with the Goot.

    • Whoa, that one does look nice if a bit pricey. I am intending to do rework, well, removing chips with tons of pins on, looks significantly easier with hot air versus iron.
