Worth Custom Cooling 5700/XT over Partnered?

I am currently upgrading my PC build and for my GPU I was looking at getting the RX 5700. Now we know the reference cards can be loud under load and can also run pretty hot, so normally the recommendation is to go with the Partnered cards with better cooling. The price mark up from reference to custom is pretty steep (+$130 minimum), So I was wondering if its worth custom cooling the GPU and save $50+. I've seen a couple videos on the subject and there's one that used the Frostflow 120VGA to cool it, so you could buy a reference card for $490 and then the Frostflow for $70 and you'd have your own custom cooled 5700 for cheaper. Do you think it's worth the hassle or should I just wait for the partnered cards to come down in price?

Thanks

Did a bit of a deep dive, seems like the gddr6 memory is a really hot fire set. You could Frostflow it, but you'd have to make sure the memory is getting cooled very well.

Make sure you avoid xfx cards, they cheaped out on materials to get such a cheap price.

Tbh I'd wait, if you have a good enough graphics card to wait until it gets to a better price do it. Unless you like tinkering alot don't frostflow. And yeah, I agree the price difference from reference to partner cards is crazy high. But the temperatures this time seem high too.
