    I prefer hospitality grade iron frypans

    Season by cooking with oil and they develop a non stick surface. Cheap, unbreakable. They look a little rustic but in my view they age better than stainless steel, which needs polishing to look good, and teflon non-stick surfaces, which inevitably get scratched.

        Yes I do. I have two of them and also use them in the oven/grill as pizza trays as well!

        The only negative thing about them is that the bases are quite thin. So they can warp if you abuse them (i.e. plunge a hot pan into cold water). But thin means light and easy to handle. If you're using gas flame it's never a problem. But if the base is slightly warped it probably wouldn't well work with an induction or electric hotplate.

  Mixed reviews online. i have a few of the frypans and I've had no issues.
  Coming into xmas, they're not bad gifts for under $50 ea.

  Looks like a 10-year-warranty on the stainless steel models (not stated on Big W site but on Tefal website)

  Go cast iron…..I will have to NEVER buy any kitchen utensils again, well until I am bored.
  The ones from Amazon that are on sale quite often are really good. In comparison this is 2X expensive.

  Be careful: Tefal Jamie Oliver Stainless Steel 28cm Frypan scanned at full price for me (Big W Majura ACT). Was eventually overridden by checkout operator after consulting catalogue.
