The Honesty Box plugs into your modem through a spare port, and every few hours measures your broadband performance. You can log into the Honesty Box patform and check your own performance(currently in beta testing).
Participate in CHOICE’s Broadband Performance Measuring Program and we will give you an honest insight into your internet connection’s performance through a personalised report at the end of each month.
Here’s what you need to know:
- You must be on the nbn, have a spare port on your modem/router.
- 10% of your monthly data allowance will be used for testing.
- We won't record personal information or browsing history.

What happens next
Your details will be used to determine if you qualify to participate. This depends on several factors including your Internet service type and your postcode. Once this assessment is complete, we will email you to confirm if you do or don't qualify.
If you do qualify
We will send you a free Honesty Box that will enable us to measure your broadband performance.
If you don't qualify
We will keep a record of your details and may invite you to participate at some point in the future.
