My microwave oven tray is shattered, anyone up for a challenge to find me a replacement? LG support wants me to get it from Statewide Appliance Spares, which doesn't even look legit (no price or product listings)… I don't want to just get a new one as it really bugs me that I'm forced to throw out an otherwise functional appliance for a very replaceable part :(

Try the opp-shops some may sell the microwave plate alone (just note the size and shape of the middle of the plate),try Saturday market or you could post your request on Freecyle. And if you are very lucky, you might just find the same microwave on someone's front nature-strip with its plate. =) Gl

Somehow it doesn't feel like it's worth it… For microwave ovens at least.
It might be worth mentioning the model number - perhaps someone has an old LG microwave they're getting rid of and they could send you their tray? Okay, it's a long shot, but still, the model number might be useful for someone up for the challenge (since they'll need to know the size)….
