Tumblr Dryer Venting Kits That Don't Vent Outdoors

I've seen venting kits from Bunnings but they seem to only be drilling through brick and venting outside. Unfortunately my dryer is nowhere near the outside, my laundry room is located in the middle of the apartment complex.

This is it: https://imgur.com/gallery/LKwVdWz

The vent measures 15cm in diameter.

It's really annoying living in an apartment but to add to it, I don't get much sunlight so a lot of moisture builds up and the tumble dryer isn't helping. I've bought a dehumidifier that I run every few days. Whenever I operate the dryer, I open the door, run the dehumidifier with an extra fan to help circulate the air. I once made the mistake of closing the laundry door and came back an hour later to find the floor and walls wet.

I've seen images like this online https://static-3.yourspares.co.uk/media/p/s/0/16/l/Universal…

I can't find this product in Sydney. Would a product like this be my best option? Can I DIY this condensing vent box myself? Or is there a better solution for my needs?

You could buy a condenser dryer. Made a big difference to our laundry. Converts all the steam to water and you either manually empty a cartridge of water every 2 washes (good for the garden) or drain it down the sink via a pipe.

I wish I did more research on apartment living. Would definitely have bought a condenser dryer! Not a valid option now unfortunately.

condenser dryer, or just open up all the windows

What exactly do you want the venting kit to do? It has to go somewhere(outside), you can't just vent into a wall cavity or ceiling space. From your situation your best solution is putting up with it and or getting a different dryer.

Lots of people vent onto ozbargain and that sometimes works.

    No one uses Tumblr anymore.

  • May build it your own?
won't be as pretty as that example but as long as it works

    • It seems like that may be my only option atm. Any tutorials online? Lol

  • do you have a shower exhaust fan that vents outside? Our laundry/toilet/showers share the same vent system to the outside. Could be an option.

    • Yeah I’ve got one . Pretty sure it shares the same vent.
