Beer/Spirits for Christmas Gift

Hi all,

Would like to get (for a client) some alcohol for a group of Senior tradies and female office staff. (Surprise).

They all drink, but i didnt take notice last Christmas function as to what they were drinking. As a non drinker not sure what the current go is.

Budget: $150 or less.

6 males/4 females

Thanks

  • $150 Each?

    • $150 all up for the 10 people. Just something for them to have at the Christmas party.

  • 2 cartons of crown lager, 3 bottles of whatever sparkling is on special, maybe Jansz, not the $6 plonk.

  • +1

Definitely 2 cartons of a decent beer. Preferably 2 different ones. Any decent staff member in a store would be able to help with brands

A few bottles of champagne, maybe 2 white wine bottles and 1 red. I'd suggest yellowtail. It's available everywhere and has no traces of egg/fish/milk. They're reasonably priced but not hugely and your budget wont take much more

I always pick wines that dont have these product traces if I don't know if there are people with strict dietary requirements. There are other brands around depending where you are. Might sound paranoid but you only need to get caught out once to not risk ruining a party again.

2 orange juices, 1 coke, 1 coke zero, 2 waters, 2 soda waters, both for mixers (champagne/OJ) and for responsive service service of alcohol/WHS

If you're buying for a client I'd also remind them to make provision for transportation to be available if needed. Ie they cant let someone drive home over the limit

  • Jade81 nails it. I also like to grab a 24 pack of water bottles (600ml) and encourage everyone to take a couple. They almost always get taken and people thank you later.

  • Oops, great idea, forgot the water bottles…cheers!!!
Also forgot…document you've warned your client about responsible service and transportation in case they ignore you and something goes wrong.

  • Thanks all.

Issue raised reaponsibilty if something happens from Alchol that i supplied. I know its USA style someone is always reaponsible. But could i be?
