  • is a better bargain than Aldi ??

  • Yes im not sure the joining fee will be worth it! Did any1 go to the opening 2day, anything extra special price wise???

  • Yeah i would not mind checking it out but would like to have an idea of their pricing before paying $55

    • $55 membership for abn holder

  • Is there any way to view what their offerings are like without accompanying a member? Do they put out catalogues?

    • Nope, not that I'm aware of.

    • i went there today and they were letting people in without memberships. you couldnt buy anything but it was nice to have a look at what the fuss is all about.

I saw they sell tvs too, how much is a 50 full HD lCD? do they come in a 6 pack? ;-)

  • Prices aren't that great, some are more expensive some are cheaper (but not by much) than sale prices at woolies/coles. The things that are cheaper are things like confectionery and ummm, confectionary. Oh and clothing.
Electronics aren't cheaper, you can get a better price at the normal retailers by haggling. Gaming consoles there are a rip!

  • So any deals in the Auburn store for the grand opening?

    • Free kilo of eggs on opening day only.

I wonder if OW will PM Costco lol

  • Like any retailer some things cost more, others less, than elsewhere. It's just a matter of learning which of the things you buy regularly are worth buying from Costco in bulk quantities. Much like when aldi opened here, really.

I really liked their huge store, wider range of stuff than aldi and bigger volumes than ordinary supermarkets. In the US Costco are known for doing awesome periodic specials like aldi, and I for one hope they bring "black Thursday" down under.

  • dealsniper - they are cruzer

  • awesome. I used to go to Costco in Chiba outside of Tokyo. bulk buying was excellent. it is like Aldi on steroids.

  • anyone know about premium fresh orange juice?
such as original fresh orange juice? normal price was around $6 for 2 liter in the supermarket and special can be as cheap $4 / 2 liter

This is the link to their coupons taken from the Costco website - http://www.costco.com.au/coupons/Costco2011Jul20.pdf

  • question
is it possible if i register the membership with my neighbor? as i understood per membership you can have 2 membership cards and every membership card; you can bring additional 3 guest?

    • Nope the additional card holder has to be at the same address. But you can bring your neighbour along as your guest.

  • Who deleted the links to the August specials and why?
