TVs - Sony X9500 or other?

Hi,

Sorry if this topic is done to death.

On the market for a 65 inch TV. The Sony X9500 seems to fit the bill, and hoping to get it for around $2100-ish, maybe during Black Friday.

Is it worth spending this much for the X9500, or would I be ripping myself off with the Sony brand? Should I be spending less or considering other brands, i.e., LG or Samsung? It seems like the equivalent Samsung would be the Q75, and it's a bit more pricey.

Another consideration is OLED, but at 50% more cost, I'm not sure if it's within budget.

Any helpful feedback would be appreciated.

Regards.

X9500 is an all-rounder for most viewing content and environments, it's hard to go wrong with it.

  • The X9500 is a great unit.
The only exception I can think of is if you primarily watch in the dark as the X9500 appears to exhibit significant backlight blooming.

  • I have a 75" X9000 and love it. An excellent use of $3700.
