How Does Warranty/Returns Work with Kogan/Catch/Amazon Marketplace Items?

Havent bought from either of them for a long time but noticed their marketplace offerings.

If anyone could answer a few questions, that would be great:

Are these just like ebay where they force you to deal with the retailer directly for returns or warranty issues?
Are the retailers from Australia?
If not Australian Consumer Law cannot be enforced, correct?

Thanks in advance.

Good luck returning anything to Kogan. Never ever buying from them again, don't care how much more I have to pay. Same bs happened to me and my son. They sent me a locked "unlocked" mobile and wanted photos and more photos and more photos. They finally sent me the unlock code.

I have actually processed a warranty claim successfully. They couldn't replace my phone with exact model so they provided me with a comparable phone.

But this was the Kogan, not Kogan marketplace.

  • think it'll depend on WHERE the seller is actually located (regarding amazon), but I would be contact Amazon/Catch in the first instance
