still not as good as Telstra $65 plan with $400 gift card by fair bit… needs Pix4 XL to compete

    • +2

but I currently with Telstra so can't get the JB HI-Fi deal

    • +1

Not necessarily, the $400 gift card is only handy if you had intended on purchasing something at JB's, and still assuming you were able to obtain the full $400 value then it worked out at $31.66 a month compared to $26.3 with this plan.

      • 60gb vs 30gb

        • It really depends if people require that data, personally I don't go over 20gb so 30 is fine

        • 30GB is plenty enough for most people. If you really care about data, there is a $59 for 80 GB plan for Optus and you get 30000 flybuys points with that. So it works out the be $31.75.

  • I have $44 plan with Unlimited calls and msgs in Australia as well as 35 destinations plus 50GB per month.

    • +1

this is about $26 per month

    • I have $40 plan with Unlimited calls and msgs in Australia as well as 35 destinations, 4GB roaming data plus 80GB per month.

      • You are among the lucky ones. I think they no longer offer that plan

  • I have $44 plan with Unlimited calls and msgs in Australia as well as 35 destinations plus 50GB per month.

    • I have $40 plan with Unlimited calls and msgs in Australia as well as 35 destinations, 4GB roaming data plus 80GB per month.

      • How did you get that deal? I pay $50 for the same ☹️

      • +2

You can currently get the same for $59 a month with 3 months free and 30000 flybuys points. Work out to be $31.75/month after discount.

      So you've said

    • I have $45 a month for 110gb
As well as unlimited international calls to 35 destinations, 4gb roaming and 12 months free apple music

    • I have a $49 plan with unlimited calls and msgs in Australia as well as 35 destinations plus 100gb per month.

  • Not that this is for new connection only, eg existing Optus customers wishing to keep the existing number do not qualify.

    • so does the Telstra deal

    • I'm sure one can port out and port back to get the deal.

      • -1

how long do I need to port our?

    • -1

      How to upload photos?

      • Go to my account > files

  • Whats the landing page link to the Optus + FlyBuys deal?

    • FYI That link will only work for your Flybuy accounts. If somebody else clicks that link and purchases the SIM, their Flybuys account will not be attributed properly and they will not earn the points.

Each FlyBuys user has their own personalized link

      • Ah okay, can people just make sure they log into their flybuys. It was difficult trying to find the link. There are all these other deals as well!

  • Would someone be able to go through the steps for me as to how to get this deal and then port your old number (w/ optus) to the new sim/new deal?
    TIA.

  • I asked why I’m being charged $50 for a plan others pay $40 for.

They instantly added $10 a month discount for me.

  • Can't you just cancel after 3 free months? Optus have no contact break fees.

    • Correction: The no contract break fee terms only seem to apply mobile broadband plans.

  • +1

I was going to get this on Tuesday, however in store they has a better deal but needs two services, so if one service is eligible for upgrade you can port in or get a new service at 50% discount for the second service, so I upgraded my main plan to $39 p.m (10 GB) and got the $59 plan with roaming for $29.50 and good thing is it's 50% ongoing discount not limited to 12 months.Effectively 3 months free and 30000 point for the $59 plan is around $31 p.m but that's on a 12 months basis and still not as good as $29.50 plus this is ongoing.

  • Received email for flybuys. Can I sign up my partner for it and still get the Flybuys points?

    • I think as long as you use the flybuy number be better to confirm with online chat

  • Anyone know if the $59 plan roaming data allowance of 2GB is per day ?

    • it's per month, if you exceed it is at their normal rate as per plans details. no add on package but you can monitor it through the Optus App

      • Thanks. Looks like I better off with my old carrier and get local sim card then.
