Stuck between 2 Laptops - Advice Apreciated

Hi all,
I've been trolling around for a while now looking for deals, and it seems the 20% off ones running through ebay at the moment are perfect for me.

Now the question is, im stuck between two Asus laptops,

Option 1: Asus S406UA-BM013R VivoBook Laptop Ultrathin i5 8250U 8GB 256GB SSD 14" W10 Pro
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-S406UA-BM225R-14-Core-i5-No…

Which is $811 delivered.

And option 2: ASUS VivoBook S14 S406UA 13" 14" Laptop Intel Core i7 256GB 8GB Win 10 Pro
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-VivoBook-S14-S406UA-13-14-L…

$960 delivered.

I'll only really be using the laptop for some uni work, light gaming (old games) + web browsing and netflix etc.
I see option 1 has the i5 processor but a 512gb ssd, and option 2 has the i7 processor but a 256gb ssd.

Is it worth the extra money going for option 2 or am i better off with option 1?
I always use everything until it is no longer working, just upgrading from an old acer aspire which i bought 8 years ago. (i'd probably keep it but the 17" screen and weight will suck for uni)

Thanks for the help.
regards,
James.

Option 1 - $796 delivered with eBay plus

i5 is perfectly fine, 512GB SSD is much better, and it's $150 cheaper

Hmm or for about $35 more you have a gaming laptop with 15.6" screen. Maybe not as portable as your ones. It has better expandability for more ram and another SSD

    • Option1 is showing as 256gb ssd

        Storage Capacity: 512GB SSD

        and:

        Description
        Intel Core i5-8250U 1.6Hz (6M Cache, up to 3.4 GHz) Quad Core CPU, 14" FHD (1920x1080) Anti-Glare Display, 8GB DDR4 SODIMM (onboard) Memory, 512GB M.2 SSD, Intel UHD620 Graphics, Wireless-AC, Bluetooth 4.0, No Optical Drive, No Gigabit Lan, Micro SD Card Reader, 1 x Micro HDMI, 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 3.0 (Gen1) Type-C, HD Webcam, 2 Cell Battery, 1.2KG (with Battery), Windows 10 Professional 64Bit

Warranty: 1 Year Australian Warranty & Support

If it shipped with a 256GB you could complain. 256GB is only mentioned in the blurb, which has been copy-pasted from elsewhere:

ASUS VivoBook S14 may be small, but it packs a punch. Powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core™ i7 processor, and with up to 16GB RAM, VivoBook S14 delivers supreme multitasking performance. It also features a 256GB SATA SSD for superfast data access speeds.
