Monitor for Photo Editing

Hi Ozbargainers,

I am looking for a screen to do some photo editing.
I'd like it to be as accurate as possible in terms of colors but I'd like to stay around the $320 mark max.
Also, USB-C would be highly appreciated
That's why I am panning to get a Dell U2419HC for $329. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance :)

I have an older Dell IPS that I've been very happy with, I think the U2419HC will serve you well at that price point.

    • do you use it for photo editing?

      • Yes, that was the reason I paid up extra to get the IPS.

I can't remember the exact model I have off hand, it's several years old but it did come with some kind of calibration certificate. I can only assume the image quality has kept up with their newer models.

Of course if you're going to be doing this professionally, you'll want one of the "premium colour" models, which cost a lot more…

        • Ah right. It should be 2417 or 2415 I guess?
I read that the quality dropped, so potentially your screen could be better than the 2417.

And I'm not doing it professionally, just for fun but I'd like something decent

  • You'll need a calibrator to go with whatever monitor you end up buying. All displays will need recalibration as their light sources age.
