  For the lay person who has dabbled in the tiniest of bits of programming in the past, how could python be used in helpful ways day to day in personal life? do people here have examples of common or simple uses to make life easier?

  For reference, I am intrigued by HTPC, smart home stuff, and plex if that gives any potential applications to explore? (i am noob)
