Gardenia lollipop - Spider mites

Hi All, i am new here and need your help.

I got 2 Gardenia Lollipop which since the first day i got them, they never flower. I can see around the flower itself a lot of spider web. Anyone been through that? How can i remove these spider mites?

Thanks

    • I know i can google it, but i thought to ask someone who experienced in real life.

      Thanks for your reply anyway!

And the people who would post this information that Google would search for, they would have no “real life experience”?

Let me get this straight. You signed up today, to an Australian bargain hunting website, for the sole purpose of seeking a remedy for spider mites, because you expected to find someone with real life experience with spider mites here. Rather than say, a gardening website forum. Ok.

To be fair he has specifically directed his question to Ali.
I'm sure Ali will be along soon with an answer to his mitey problem?

  • Eco oil. Bunnings.

    • Thanks, some suggested to buy some lady bugs and let nature takes it turn!

        One of two things happen.

        Bugs leave immediately.

        Bugs die.

If the lady bugs were going to stay, they'd already be there.

        • Very good point, never thought of that!

I have tried eco oil before but didn't work and specially now with this weather, it won't help!

    • too expensive, just make your own white oil out of vegetable oil + detergent

Have you got any pics? it's more likely issues like sunlight/water etc causing non-flowering issues, how long have you had them?

They're new. They don't know the MSPaint diagram requirements we have here.

      • Are we talking about yours or Abdull's plants now, as far as I can see they don't mention how long they have had them?

        Just got your comment!

    • I will post some tomorrow…

  • gardenias only flower at certain times of the year. my hedge is in full bloom right now and looks and smells fantastic!

    • Any Spider Mites?

    • I think my hedge smells ok not sure about fantastic

    • @mtg My avatar pic approves of your username.

    • Agree, they are nice and smells amazing however the Gardenias lollipop should continuously flower during the year.

      • however the Gardenias lollipop should continuously flower during the year.

I think you might have been misled on this point, not 100% sure of the exact plant you have but I'd be pretty certain that this isn't the case.

  • Thank you all for your comments and help!!!

It's sad to see some of the comments here which not related to my question.

Anyway, appreciate anyone answered my question directly and tried to assist.
