Fencing Recommendations Please.

Howdy Trendsetters,
Seeking some OZB wisdom here… Looking to do a spot of fencing… I have what is approximately a 10m length along the side of my property that I'm looking to put some fencing up against… The length in question runs along council land and it's a vacant block on the other side…
I want some panel fencing as anything that's not solid is just going to let a whole bunch of topsoil be blown into my yard (just had a contractor remove 4 truck loads to level(ish) the yard)… Pricing from Bunnings runs to the tune of $450ish as a DIY gig… The DIY part isn't an issue, just wondering if anyone had a more cost effective solution?
Cheers,
Adz

*Edit: Quote from Stratco has come in $50-70ish cheaper… I've also emailed the council asking for them to kick in as suggested.

Could be a lot of work but… on Gumtree a lot of people give away fences for free. You’ll just need to break it down and build it back up. Would be a lot of work though!

    • Good idea, I'll keep an eye out.

  • Is a colourbond fence difficult to install?

    • Not so bad from what I can tell.

      • Colourbond is pretty easy to install, but like with all fencing the hard part is setting up the posts and rails straight and level

You should ask the council to pay half if they share the boundary with you. I've put fences up in that situation with two different properties and the council paid their share without issue. You need to get their agreement before starting though.

Nice one, I'll ask the question.
