London Stay Options

He’ll everyone. I am planning to go London in April and was wondering whether I should book a hotel or a Airbnb? I know it’s a open ended question but I’m only staying there for 5 days so want to get the most out it.

Also where abouts is the best place to stay? Like is there a specific road, section in London you recommend so I do less walking to major sites like the Big Ben etc?

Thanks in advance

  • I would be looking for accommodation central to the sights I wanted to see.
With an area of ~1,600 sq.km., you don't want to get caught out travelling huge distances to visit what you want to see.

Less walking? London is blessed with a superb railway system - the Tube, complimented by a massive bus system.

Stay anywhere within the M25 and enjoy the best transport and city facilities in the world.

The YHA's in an around Oxford Circus are rather good and central, you'll meet lots of fellow travellers too. Some good looking …:)https://www.yha.org.uk/

    Watch out for Boris.

  • In 2010 we stayed at the youth hostel (Family Room) near kings Cross / St Pancras Station & the British Library (worth a look).

Close to the Tube and walking distance to many things like British Museum, Regents Park, Covent Garden.

I walk a lot so maybe my idea of close is different to yours.

I recently stayed at the hub by Premier Inn on Goodge St and the location was perfect and the price was really good.
