All the best to you all, but after a horrendous experience I'll be avoiding centrecom like the plague.
I called to have an item put aside at the Nunawading store and appreciate they were going to hold it a few days until I could arrange pickup.
Unfortunately, it was awful from there… my partner visited the store to pickup the item and the entire time she was treated like utter crap. I'm reasonably tolerant of some rudeness from staff in value IT stores and I even get that some IT staff in these places will get flustered by non-technical customers, but this rep at Nunawading went to extreme lengths to be an absolute a-hole.
To rub salt in the wound, the invoice is for the part I requested but the SKU on the barcode doesn't match and, sure enough, it's the wrong product! So yay I get to go out of my way to Nunawading to return it! I'm inclined to give the rep a blast,.. he deserves worse!
Avoid on principle!

I've had nothing but trouble with that company, wouldn't touch them if you paid me - says volumes considering I'm an Ozbargainer!
I can appreciate your comment and fairly sure I know which rep you're referring to. Used to be at the Hawthorn store before it shut down if it's the rep I'm thinking of.
Being tech savvy I've never had the exact experience you have, but they could benefit from attending a class or two in customer service.

Postage to over here is $8-$12, and from previous experience OW price matches based on cost of postage.
