  • Gold Coin Entry to Boxing Day Test Day

Gold coins would be worth quite a bit, I doubt this is a bargain.

Our $2 and $1 coins only contain copper, aluminium and nickel.

    • NO DEAL

  • …also, very likely the game will be over before day 5.

    It's NZ after all….

Yeah. Australia will probably be skittled by then.

      • I rest my case…

      • Did you enjoy the game?

  • Are tickets on a first in best dressed basis at the venue? Or can we pre-select or something?

      It's at the gate.

But the gates will likely be closed..

    • There'll be plenty of free seats tomorrow.

  • they have great confidence on it will last that long

  • Cmon jv most of the time day 5 is on if you look up your cricket stats .

    • Not much play. IIRC there wasn't even 5 overs last year before Australia were bowled out…after morning of rain.

    • most of the time day 5 is on

      Hmmmm….

A Boxing Day test on December 30?? Right…

Starts on Boxing Day mate, this is the 5th day….

How can it be a Boxing Day test if it goes for 5 days? Makes no sense whatsoever.

        • +2

Honestly how can you call yourself 'AussieZed' and then have no idea about a Boxing day test? It starts on 'Boxing Day' hence the name….i'd say that makes perfect sense to 99.99999% of the population.

@dahax77: I've heard of the Boxing Day Test but I always assumed it just took place on Boxing Day. Shows how little I'm interested in sports. I still say that the name makes no sense, though.

            • @AussieZed: The 'Starts on Boxing Day and continues on the 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th of December Test' doesn't have the same ring to it.

              • -2

@dahax77: Anything that runs for 5 days and is called "Day" (which implies a single day event) is stupid. Find me one other example of an event which is similarly named.

        • Username checks out LOL

  • will it be another fix more likely - cricket became a dead sport at the last world cup final when 1 team won courtesy of a non existent run…

  • Today. Still on?
