4GB Class 4 Lexar or Verbatim SDHC $6

30

I found these at Harvey Normal @ Martin Place Sydney.

$6 bucks is pretty cheap for pick up and go.

I'm sure there are better deals online but if you can't be ass-ed to wait, it's a pretty decent deal.

+1. No price, and even if price provided, $6 for 4Gb is nothing special these days.

    • Fixed. Sorry about that. My bad :)

  • Might be good to mention it's SD and not MicroSD or other

    • Well, i think SDHC is pretty clear. If it's micro it'll be microSDHC.

    • SDHC=SD

  • Good find! Especially for a class 4 Lexar. That's an easy 6+MB/s write and 10+MB/s read.

  • price = meh
    H.N = meh

  • this is ok for some, but for me a bargain price is paying around $1 per Gb(or less!) for average speed cards(class 2+) and i've always wondered why usb drives cost less than memory cards, doesn't it cost more to add a usb connector plus pcb?

  • They have 4gb USB sticks for $4 bucks too. =)

  • +1

Harvey Norman have now become Harvey "Normal".. SERIOUSLY… lol…

  • +1, and Chivalry do you know what brand USB flash drives these are?

    • Verbatim Store n Go (blue coloured)

  • Dayumm, might pick one up. Back about two years ago I got an 8gb blue Store n Go for $40 - back then I thought it was a really good deal, wow things change quickly. One thing I remember though, these drives were particularly fast, I remember getting 30MB/s (presumed read) and about 15MB/s + write.

  • I did a speed test. The Lexar writes @ 6.5 MB/s and the Verbatim 5.8 MB/s.

    Enjoy!

P/s: Seems right to call them Harvey "Normal" after Mr Norman swore to give the best buys ever with his Big Buys webbie to battle overseas online shopping. His prices are as usual. Normal. So I've taken the liberty of "rebranding" his company. LoLz

    • The Store n Go writes at 5.8MB/s? Hmm. What read speeds do you get? Maybe they use different flash chips in there 8gb models.
