Hi all pokemaster in OZB!

i know most of us is hyped for the game. Maybe you are not, but i'm lol

But after i saw the leaks on reddit and some random dude who completed the game make comments on the game.

it seems pretty bad to me with those screen shots leak.

Even Gamefreak is aware of the comments. Well, at least they acknowledge their mistakes..

i know is only 1 day away from release. But my order from Amazon doesn't get send till 20th. So i still have time to cancel it.

Would you still play the game? Or is anyone cancelling their pre-order?

      It's the most important game, from the most popular franchise, on the most important console from Nintendo.

      To put it into perspective;
      It's more important than Halo for Xbox, God of War for PlayStation, World of Warcraft for PC Gaming, and Clash of Clans for Mobile.

      So no expense should have been spared, no stops taken, it is something that deserves the time, effort, and money to craft into a good game. But instead Nintendo and GameFreak actually lied to the public and tried to generate hype. It was found that they did in-fact use old animations and assets, took shortcuts on the graphics, and cut a lot of content from previous titles. When actual fans realised this, Nintendo and GameFreak tried to make excuses such as the performance of the console or amount of storage in the flash drives. These were proven false again. So the most loyal fans have now come to terms with that this is a "cash grab" and are rightfully angry and let-down, and some people have decided to boycott the game until the next version.

      What adds insult to injury, is that there have been fan-made games that were better than this, but thanks to Nintendo's decisions and lawyers, all of those projects were made to be cancelled.

        It's not so much the graphics but the broken promise that, after Let's Go the next was supposed to appeal to the hardcore fans and not introduce some new gimmick like gigantamax.

        We were expecting something open world or something revolutionary like what BOTW did for Zelda.

          Frankly, I was waiting for something like a Pokemon-BOTW. I don't own a Switch but would've bought one for such a game. As I said earlier, here's an example of a Fan Project.

      To tl;dr
      -Graphics don't seem to be anything special
      -Missing 400 pokemon, and 150 moves were removed
      -People are also mad that the devs claimed this was to increase graphics fedility, but assets seem to be reused
      -Odd game design, e.g. the audio settings menu is an item you have to buy from an NPC

    From what I hear, Gamefreak have shafted a load of content from the game - for no real valid reason.

    I ain't going to be supporting business practices like that.

    Have you got some sort of special edition causing the delay? I ordered mine off Amazon yesterday and it's shipped today (supposed to arrive tomorrow for release, but got tracking this morning saying it should arrive this afternoon)

      i re-ordered it on shopback 12% cashback. don't have anything else in my cart. I'm also not sure why i thought Amazon suppose to guarantee day 1 delivery. I don't expect to get it on day 1, but i expect them to send it day 1 at least…

        Me too. It says 20th or 22nd it arrives. Also same shopback 12% cancel and re-order. Jealous also haha.

    If you compare it to a GB/GBC/GBA/DS/3DS game it looks nice.

    If you compare it to a Switch game (Breath of the Wild for example) it looks rubbish.

    I think most people who are complaining are comparing it with Switch games.

        It’s got more ‘atomosphere’ where let’s go was a cleaner look. The think the graphics are ok, but I wasn’t aware of most of the other points. My legit copy has already shipped so if it turns out to be disappointing, I’ll probably return it.
