Hello, there was once when I wanted to buy a Deluxe game and was told I can’t return due to DLC. Then this morning, I went to pick up a pre-order for Star Wars. He didn’t mention anything about DLC, but when I left, I saw the receipt with a DLC code. I quickly went in to return with no issues.
My main objective is to try Star Wars and return within 7 days. Can I really? Or was I only successful in returning because I did it within 30 mins just now?

If it's a preorder dlc there shouldn't be any problem. If it's a collectors edition or a deluxe edition with a season pass, you might. It is possible to return it though, just depends if the person behind the counter enforces it. Your mileage may vary

So far has depended on store. Could be wrong, but what I heard/understood that returns are marked as pre-owned - so they usually don’t care. But could be certain stores as they may want to keep their “sale” locked in for KPIs.
At the moment you can return up to January 10th. If they are giving you sass about returning with dlc just go another day or return to a different store.
