Advice on LG Split System - WS09TWS - Please

Hi you lovely and knowledgable people of ozbargain!

I am thinking of buying this split system unit :

WS09TWS LG 2.5kW Smart Wifi Reverse Cycle Split System Air Con (NEW MODEL)

It looks like a good price at Appliance Central on ebay at the moment:

Buy it now price: AU $720.00
-AU $144.00
Your price: AU $576.00

+$65 delivery.

My question is - does anyone have this unit?
Can you give me any advice on it's quality?

Or maybe you've got an LG Split System already and can give me some overall feedback about it?

This unit is for a small bedroom.

In our place we've already got 2 Mitsi units in larger areas and they've been going strong for years. Never tried LG split system before, so just looking for advice.

Merci! 🤩

Panasonic are less noisy but LG should be fine. If you never intend to use it for heating buy a cooling model only. (more efficient, less to go wrong, less delays if the wrong button is pressed.)

    • Thank you for the advice!

    Doesn't that answer your question?

Is there any reason why you'd want something else? They may be more expensive to buy but last for ever.

    Cheaper in the long run.

LG are middle of the road. Definitely better than Daikin. It'll be fine. They've been making air cons forever.

    • Damn. I did the "better than Daikin" to bait some installers with Daikin exclusive contracts to comment. Sad face.

  • Check where its made in and compare with the mitsu. I beleive the mitsu is 5 years made in japan but they may have changed that.
If its still in Japan I would stick with mitsu.

    • no chance any mhe aircon still made in japan, i got one installed 2 years ago and it was chinese made

I bought this at a similiar price from appliance central, it’s currently in its box waiting for the installer - I’ll update when it’s installed but I think it should be fine for a small room!

    • Thank you for the reply. Look forward to hearing about your experience.
Can I ask how much it is costing you for the install and what type of install it is?

    • Also keen to know your feedback and how things are going? Happy so far? I'm very interested in the included wifi as well as I had that at our old house and did not realise how much of a nice feature it is to have until it's gone.. hahah

      • It’s been installed for a good few weeks now, it’s working great. Very quiet and cool and nice design. The wifi feature is also reliable and very handy to ask google to turn it on, I recommend it definitely

  • loginid How did you go with this LG unit, can you share back with us?

    • I didn't get a chance to install one in the bedroom yet. Soz.

      • Did you get this unit installed? I'm thinking of buying it now and would appreciate the feedback. Can you control it via wifi or Alexa?

        • I didn't get it installed in the end… now I'm just waiting on the deal coming back!

  • I know this is an old post but looking for feedback. These are about 780 today which is much better than the 1100 other 2.5kw units are going for
