  • Looks like just advertising here. Nothing special price-wise.

For a DC ceiling fan it seems to be not a bad deal.

  • Yeah need to be around the $145 price point n
No neg as it’s cheaper than current

This post got me looking up DC ceiling fan prices. They were $250+.
clubhonda and Jettblack do you have any recommendations?

      • I didn’t think price deserved a neg but it also could have been cheaper

Check the Aldi one that has been posted a few times

I have not used this one before so cannot comment
But look for DC much quieter

I absolutely recommend "Fanco Urban 2 DC Ceiling Fan". on 20% ebay discount.

Just had this one installed few months ago. Its awesome.

With Ceiling fans prices (including installation), $100 cheaper is not that big of a diff.
Instead, get multiple fans installed in one sparky callout.

Also remember, DC fans come with remote. AC fans cost you about additional $50 for remote.

  • is the LED light changeable? prefer warm white light

Don't get too caught up on DC for quietness. Many of the recommended fans in the Choice review (September 2019) were AC. The Brilliant Artic II is $240, 5 year warranty, blades are pre-balanced (unlike this one) and it rates 90% for bedroom score. The best reasonably priced 90% living room 90% bedroom performer is the DC Mercator Manly or City $299. No light though. Again pre-balanced blades, which may reduce installation costs.

Against this deal: 1 year warranty (the competition is at least 3, most are 5), potentially unbalanced blades, and an Amazon shopfront with 10 ratings.

We bought this fan for $179 and it's as quiet as a church in our bedroom

    • just went on to the website you recommended, I was interested in the last one that they have but the LED light is cool white, wanting to get something warm white. How easy is it to change the LED light?

or what do you think of this:

    • Brilliant Artic has been a great fan for me in my smaller living room. AC fan.
Quiet and has been in place for almost 4 years now.
The DC fans I installed in three bedrooms have been 2 quiet, 1 throbs/howls lightly. 1 has been replaced under warranty. P!sses me off.
As above, I agree with @willyroo don't get hung up on DC.

DC fans come with remote. AC fans' remotes would cost you ~$50 more.

Bunnings has this Fan for $199. Not cheaper but you can use this with Google home for those interested.

    • Brilliant just what I've been looking for. Parents laughed at me for wanting Google assistant fans

    • Which store did you go to? I can't find the fan online.

      • +1

The Thomastown store, but i was there a few days ago and they only had 3 left.

  • code doesn't work

  • DC Fans I've been near emit an electronic whine/noise that is pretty annoying, usual "old people can't hear it" electronic noise.

  • code doesn't work

  • I grabbed one to try it out. The code worked fine with free express shipping - although I only used it on the white fan in this listing, rather than any of the other colour options.
