Yes there are concerns about how many years it will receive updates for, and going by other ozb comments many think 32GB is too little storage.

Both of my sister's have had iPhone 7's, and they both have already had significant problems. One upgraded to a newer iPhone. One paid an exorbitant amount for repairs. Neither were a wise move.
What happened? Mine is still going strong. And I dropped it many times, including in water.
One of the phones just pretty much died on its second birthday (the home button/touch screen wouldn't work and the power button only worked sometimes). Cost $400 to repair.
The other one of the phones wouldn't remain turned on, it would power on but struggle to fully boot up. A battery replacement later, doesn't fix it. Ended up getting upgraded.
They both had protective cases and allegedly never dropped their phone (except off a bed onto carpet).
Of course - this is all second hand information and my sisters are far from tech savvy. Don't have a clue what happened with the second phone. The "professionals" didn't either. It never made it to an Apple Store however.
Bummer. Sounds like they had duds.
@cnut: With my incredibly limited sample size of two people I was regularly in contact with who had an iPhone 7, leads to a conclusion of it being an unreliable phone.
