I got the techfast Leaper small form factor case thinking I could shove my hdd lying in the house. So my problem here is whether I should buy a new case to transfer everything over or buy an m.2 just incase the unit breaks down and i have to return it…

It does but its blocked by the gpu if its installed, its a really shit design tbh. The ssd seemes to be placed directly behind the mobo cpu area as well…
i had an m.2. sticky-taped for 3 years no problem. ended up finding the screws on aliexpress, and still needed a piece of carboard to hold the screw on right. no problem at all, just make sure the tape is not conductive.
I have sticky taped my SATA SSD too :D
so the Leaper SFF no 3.5" bay left for your HDD ?
if you don't move the PC much, i'd just let it rest down bottom or sticky tape it
