[Android] Getting Notified for 7-Eleven Fuel Discount

Just created a simple app to get myself notified when there are having U98 discounts on 7-Eleven App

Basically, the app provides:
- Showing the Best price for all fuel types in Australia
- Swipe (left) to copy the geocode (for GPS location purpose)
- Swipe (right) to Navigate to location via Google Map
- Get push notification when U98 is under 140c

Note: I have also made one for iOS but haven't release yet
iOS version be pretty similar but to lock Prices in mock location
iOS user will have to get an android device / android emulator (eg. Nox) to do it

    I like it, would be better if users could customise and set their own parameters for notification

      Yea that is the original plan
      But at the very start I would like to keep it light weight and not storing any user data (people concern about data privacy)

      So I am planning to make it as subscription of every 5c, eg 115,120,125,130 etc

    I wonder how long until 7-11 pull the pin on their app (or at least the fuel lock) due to the systemic rorting by some in this community.

      It's probably a catch22?

      I would think a good percentage of people using it would be "rorting". Do they stop them buying at a lower price and lose the sale completely or let them continue and accept a reduction in profit?

      I'm guessing they still make money, otherwise yes, it would make sense to put an end to it.

      Personally I don't do it.

        This is basically it. If they stop the fuel locks, the 7-11 market share will dramatically drop.

        If they wanted to, it should be pretty simple to catch people out through mining of fuel lock data along with simple honey pots/traps. I just hope they go that route rather than cancel it for everyone.

    I've given up on the 7-eleven fuel lock lately, its been 149.90 for diesel all over Sydney for the last month or so and 143.90 up the coast with pretty much no variation within a particular city.

    They've basically decided to price match themselves in each city and defeats the purpose of fuel-lock.

    The only way to actually get a cheaper price is through the efforts of apps like this but I'm not sure I can be bothered really.

    Hi Bernard, great work with the app! Could I suggest you add the option to copy the store's location as "suburb, state" or postcode, as an alternative to GPS coordinates?
    This would make it easier to find a store using Freighter's current modded APK.
