Looking for a new front-load washing machine

Thinking of going with a Quickdrive WW85M74FNOR (https://www.samsung.com/au/washing-machines/washer-ww7800m/) or the Addwash WW85K54E0UW (https://www.samsung.com/au/washing-machines/washer-ww5500k/W….)

The Quickdrive is about ~%50 more expensive, but apparently got a Choice award and has some sort of WIFI feature. The Addwash is cheaper and gets great reviews on Product Review (https://www.productreview.com.au/c/front-loading-washing-mac…).

Should I just go with the cheaper Addwash option, or cough up more dollars for the Quickdrive?

Or go with something else altogether? The other option I'm considering it the Bosch https://www.bosch-home.com.au/productlist/washers-dryers/was…. The machine I'm replacing is a Bosch which lasted over 10 years.

    I got Bosch.
I had lg with constant issues so I wanted a reliable option this time.

I have a Bosch, and extremely happy with it.
Why would anyone need a wifi link to a washing machine?

  • I was looking at quick drive as well. The new model is GNOR.
They get not as good reviews compared to add wash, on product review.

We also have a Bosch F/L - 12 years old and still going strong with not one service call required in that time. I would definitely re-purchase Bosch again.

      Same!

      Bosch Maxx Classic

    • My Bosch is about 10 years old. Had 1 service call to fix the door not opening, last year I had to replace the shocks ($80 DIY), and now the bearing is making a very loud noise when it spins up. One service repair guy I spoke to said if it's the bearing it wouldn't be economical to replace.

Bosch are OK, but not indestructible. Having said that, I'd probably buy another Bosch.

  • Bosch.

  • I vote go for Bosch, they seem the best value for money in the long run.

    Miele!

    • Actually, good call. Miele are excellent but usually the most expensive, but their range has good deals going at the moment. I love my Miele cooking but have always bought Bosch for the laundry due to it being far cheaper.

OP just note Miele is consignment (direct from Miele) so it's the same price no matter where you go.

  • We’ve had Electrolux for a long time. First one lasted around 10years with no issues, but died with a computer problem eventually. Had a fairly good life. Doing probably 5-8 loads per week. Best thing was the quick wash at 30min. Significantly better than using the previous machine that was min 1h40. Delay start was handy too.

Replaced with a newer Electrolux, regular wash is 60min now. There is a quick 15min option.
