The new Shadowkeep DLC for Destiny 2 is currently 49% off at GMG, cheapest I have seen it.

Base game is free to play on Steam and has received "Very Positive" reviews since Bungie broke away from Activi$ion and launched on steam with their f2p model, Destiny New Light. (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1085660/Destiny_2/)

Deluxe Edition is also 36% off AU$63.72 if you want some bonus goodies and the next 4 season passes.

Apparently this has been mentioned 3 days ago in this deal. OP should have attributed the original post.

      • Tbf it's not readily available, I found the info on Reddit. This list is also updated with new content.

        • Also they are all crap and I just edited it in as a PSA after I posted without it in case someone wanted to know. I don’t memorize every post on ozb that has 10 upvotes and that post doesn’t mention it requires email sign up and you also have to give them your phone number for a text message authentication to get access to some shit games but I guess that’s why I’m not a Pro, probably won’t bother posting again.

  • Decent price for Shadowkeep. I'm tempted. What's the idea behind season passes?

    • They give you access to future DLCs and seasons. Theres one coming next month for example

      • Is the content minor? Any storyline/mission stuff?

        • I think it is just cosmetics similar to a battle royale battle pass where you get better things if you pay but still get some things even if you don’t pay as you level up but I don’t know for sure, I only just decided to get back into D2 after not playing since Warmind and seeing this under 30 bucks and getting good reviews.

        • I haven't played any of Shadowkeep but have played up until that. Previously the seasons were a bit hit and miss.

From friends that are still active, they've said the new raid is great, a couple of the story missions were good, the rest fairly underwhelming. PvP has been neglected in a major way. Which was the case for the last 12 months up until Shadowkeep when I was still playing.

One has called it the "Season of recycled content" which if you haven't played the game before, wouldn't be an issue.

Since splitting with Activision they have cut back a lot of staff and lost 2 Activision studios which did some great things, particularly for the PC side of things.

They've stated their workers were getting too fatigued under the Activision agreement which ensured constant content, now it seems like the content drops are underwhelming, sandpit and balance updates lacking in frequency.

  • For the standard Shadowkeep DLC, not sure how much the season pass is worth if you buy it atm. The current season, 'Season of Undying' is due to end early next month. If you haven't unlocked anything, you will still need to grind for unlocks. As a new light/f2p player, I have access to almost all the weapons and armor that came with the season unlocks. See list here: https://www.polygon.com/guides/2019/10/2/20895098/season-of-…

I don't care about the story/campaigns, just the weapon/armor unlocks and the Forsaken DLC seems to be better value.
