Looking for 75 Inch 4K TV under $1200

Eagerly waiting for black Friday, hoping I can find a bargain in this range.
Only after Hisense, Samsung, LG. ( Unlikely LG/Sony but would love to).

Only for usual tv programs, movies, sports. ( No games…etc.)
I've soundbar so not worrying about tv sound.

Is there any chance of getting deal ? Suggestions please.

  • Get a better, smaller TV?

    • I already have 45 inch. :)

  • I'm looking to get the most bang for the buck 75", too. The JB-hifi BF catalogue is out already.

    • How much is your budget? That catalogue is good but Black Friday will be special (hope :) )

      • Oh. Whatever it has to cost without sending me broke. Just as long as it is good for watching some basketball really. I've got a pretty dark room which helps me not needing anything too bright or amazing. I'll update if I find a bargain 75"

    Although not sure why you need a 75” 4K for basic TV watching. Channels are generally not even full 1080p HD but 1080i resolution. You’ll need to pay premium for decent upscaling tech.

    Cannot wait for the post in 6 months when the TV isn't what they thought it would be like, and whether they are within consumer rights to return it.

    Speaking as an ex-salesman for Sony, TV's should never be more than 65" if you'd like clear crisp quality. Free to air television and even Foxtel are not equipped to run with 4K, so the upscaling is alright to an extent. Any bigger than a 65" TV and you start seeing pixels or pixelaed movements for any fast action movies, sport etc;

    If you're going with a 4K TV at 75", expect to see a trailing ball everytime you see any sport. Just my opinion =)

    • I love my 75" Sony and would find it hard to go smaller. I haven't noticed any of the issues you've mentioned but maybe I'm just not paying attention.

    • should 1080 upscaled be ok though? i only really watch espn, nba games, etc
