I was going to buy AOE I DE @ 50% price then found out this is even better value for money considering AOE II DE alone is $22.59.

 - I can't speak to the intricacies of highly competitive play, but as a long time casual player it's the best way to play.
 - much better graphics and better multiplayer as its nor longer peer to peer its now server based. new civs and a heap of new added features

 - Game Pass for 1 dollar for new PC subcribers. You can play AOE 2:Definite Edition - Don't see why your helpful comment was so hated. - Perhaps people want to own this sort of game to play for awhile, rather than just 3 months for $1. - It was "hated" because they negged the deal. True the comment itself was helpful for those that don't know, but it wasn't a valid neg. - Fair enough, this post is a great deal for those that want to retain ownership. - Didn't want to say "downvoted" cause then people may say "it's not Reddit"!

 - 30 year old games are sold for 25 dollars. And this is the discounted price. Travesty.
 - As ChickenAdobo mentioned, it's only $1 for 3 months to get the Game Pass and give this a try first. I think it's worth doing as the game wasn't quite to my expectations, but I don't have the same nostalgia as others might. - If you are buying the game on Steam, make sure you check the bundles.. it was actually cheaper to buy AOE2 in a bundle for me because I already had AOE1.
 - Pretty annoyed you can't buy this bundle and gift it to someone else.
 - Any recommended laptop for it?
Been using mac for a decade, knows nothing about PC now….

Is II DE actually better than II HD?
