  • Hi, We went last Saturday and found out that it's closed. I sent ouffer an email saturday and got a respond and refund straight away yesterday.

    Mei

    • thanks Mei, may I asked how they refunded you. credit card, bank account, cheque. thanks!

    • Hi meiliu, which e-mail address did you use? I sent an e-mail to [email protected] last week but have yet to hear back from them. Would like to process my refund ASAP.

  • +1

they refunded into your ouffer account to be used in 10 years time.

    • That's actually pretty crap. If the restaurant is closed, it should be a refund.

    • you have to wait 10 years to use the credit !!! :O

      • I think you have to use it WITHIN 10 years. ie expires in 2021.

        • I'd think so to, but 'meiliu100' says that it must be used "in 10 years" time…

        • If that is so, that will be another way of tricking as more and more people will put stay on and much before that they will disappear either with money or leaving it to some unsuspecting buyer or some one on sharing/split basis and all will have enough to park it in tax heaven and look for other killings. And as stakes of people are small they will just forget.Government and regulatory authorities are to blame and as usual they will show presence after damage has been done.

  • only bought once from ouffer, don't like to use ouffer at all, cos they charge foreign currency convertion fee, i think the company is based oversea, at least got a long time to use the credit though.

    • I think living social charges an overseas fee. I don't understand it. They really should disclose it in BIG letters when you buy.

      • agreed, i dont like the fact i get charge a fee i'm not aware of.

I try to avoid them unless they have a really good deal.

        • It's the credit card comapny that does it. I don't understand why they don't just establish an account here. They have to pay staff and merchants and other expenses in Oz anyway.

        • because they park all collected money overseas at your cost,I will also check my account and will not be surprised that each time they have charged me also,if that is the case, will make their live a living hell

living social is another scamster.some one dodgy prpoted Jump on IT,and then Living Social a UK based company acquired majority stake in Jump on IT for some $5 million (as per the news in ciruclationand/ handed over the operations to Jump On it guys to run in the name of Living Social(without living social being incororated in Australia)while all money is collected in a non enty name and paid in to Living Social bank account in UK.They do not reply to any questions asked by email or phone enquiring about their dodgy ways of operation. All groupies are there to make a fast kill, some directly, others by chnaging hands and this all has become daring after the news that Groupon has declined offer of $6 Billion in value

  • It's a shame that it looks like this business has closed down as my partner and I had good experiences there on a couple of occasions. Their chocolates are amazing.

believe me they are scums, don't want people of their list as that is what they call value building and most have stopped giving money to supplier in advance and this must be true for them.Ask me,none of them are good for their words or deeds and just SCAMSTERS

  • Think they must have been overwhelmed by the number of vouchers sold- I still have a voucher bought last September for $30 worth of food and drink due to expire this September. Just sent an e-mail to Ouffer, hopefully they'll refund the amount promptly (don't like the idea of giving a credit instead of cash refund).

  • This one sold 445!

That's a lot for a small business like Truffles to deal with. If they are gone, I hope this isn't what sent them broke.
