  • before the rush comes, you might want to add the price & city/location in the actual title… (and maybe "save $101" - assuming the original price is actually $150)

depends how you would measure it…… I certainly wouldn't know if my chakra was blocked or unblocked…. (I didn't even know i had one)

We know that placebos work in many instances, and that the more expensive the placebo, the better it works.

This is a 'faith-based' exercise…. if you have faith it will do you good…. then it probably will. Providing proof around such things does not usually diminish beliefs…. (look how many believe in the magic bearded gentlemen in the sky…… and how much money that particular 'scam' has earned over the centuries )

People may believe what they wish…. and I guess it's not up to me to say that they can't… :)

two negs based on you not thinking the product is worthwhile.

Sorry guys, but these are personal feelings related to the product, not towards the pricing. I dont think either of the two negs are valid, but considering these two people neg everything that isnt in their interests, I am hardly suprised.

considering these two people neg everything that isnt in their interests, I

Indeed…… I will usually read any negs about a product/deal, in the hope of gaining some useful information on whether or not to make a purchase. However, there are some whose negging has become so tiresomely predictable that I don't bother reading their comments any more…. which is a shame, as I might be missing some valuable info….. however, I cannot be bothered wading through the dross that makes up 90% of their contributions.

    • two negs based on you not thinking the product is worthwhile.

There's more to this than that. If the ad was for "spending time with an old lady as she emits sounds and smells as she gives you a massage whilst showing you pretty colours" than that would be one thing. Adding the rest is what dirties it as that's snake oil and snake oil tends to be worthless at nigh on any price. As such, not a bargain.

I would say it's not the former people are reacting to and, thereby, giving negs but rather the latter.

I'm pondering whether or not to give this my first neg ever or to wait for something even more deserving, though I'm finding it hard to think of something.

      • yet there are no negs on the koorong threads… sorry but its a massive double standard to neg crystal therapy but not neg any other religious posts.

        • Not really. I missed the other one. If it made similar claims, same thing applies. If it was just selling stuff without making woo-like claims about it, then it's different.

      • the end result is a profound physical, biochemical and psychological, electromagnetic and spiritual boost.

I guess for some people….. this is exactly what they will get…. although how you could measure it I wouldn't know.

If this deal claimed to cure cancer, or lengthen genitalia, etc, then I would be the first to neg it. However…. for some people, it will make them feel better…. Whether that is due to an unblocked chakra, or magic stones, or simply an hours relaxation, it doesn't really matter.

If you don't believe, (as indeed I don't), then it's a deal that's not for you (and likely will have no effect). However I don't believe we can impose our non beliefs on others. Negging takes that one stage further by helping to remove the deal from the view of believers and non-believers alike…. which isn't especially community minded…..

    LMAO

But I can't neg it because it works for some people. Like prayer.

  • I can tell you that the use of crystals works.
I was a skeptic for a long time and openly mocked my sister in law who was into crystals. She had a large bowl of them on the kitchen table.
However, a next door neighbour was into crystal therapy and alternative healing.
She was talking to my wife one day about the problems we were having with our daughters sleeping. We would put her to bed at age 5 and 2-3 hours later she would still be awake and would finally drift off around about 10:00 - 10:30 PM.

This neighbour suggested we use a couple of crystals, and lent us hers, and it would help. Starting that night, she would be asleep within 5-15 minutes.
I was amazed at the difference. Since then we have investigated more crystals and truly believe that they can help.

Plus that's a pretty good reduction in price.

      for you :)

which is all that matters really…..

prayer, crystals, fish-slapping…… doesn't matter so long as it works for you

      • +3

Have you seen any cheap deals on fish-slapping? My great-aunt's, brother-in-law's, 3rd cousin swears by it.
Agreed though, you shouldn't neg a deal just because it isn't for you. Find it cheaper then neg it by all means.

Not that I'd know what this should be worth, but $150 for one hour is an awesome standard rate. I assume they need to charge that much because they have so few repeat customers?

      • Fish-slapping does it for me. Not too many scales but…
