$600+ pricing when you charge your UK customers half of that is just gouging Aussies.

These business practices should not be supported

    • I don't know about that, I was in the UK recently and when I converted the GBP value to AUD, I actually found them cheaper here. However, I was comparing retail prices so it's possible that online in the UK is much cheaper.

Are you sure you're not comparing their internationally made shoes to the made in UK shoes (eg 1880s collection)?

I bought 3 pairs at around 168GBP each (300AUD at the time) from the Loake1880 collection at pediwear. Then loake decided to ban oversea sellers from shipping to Aus.
Although 1880 are decent budget shoes, if you want to play in 500-800 territory there are much better brands.

so there's the 625 brogue boot i adore (near identical to the 860 that i have, but much cheaper) which Herring are selling for $302.

to buy from Loake Australia, it's almost $404 after discount. number checks out….bargain not found.

reckon i could get those shoes sent from Herring to a UK parcel forwarder and i'd still have change left over.
