Apple AirPods Pro for 320-350

Hi all,

I recently bought Airpods Pro from eBay and a counterfeit item arrived. It was quite annoying because I utilised a $48 discount via cashback (which will now be rejected since I am returning the dud item).

I'm keeping a close eye on the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, but can't find a good way to get some cheap(ish) Airpods Pro.

Do you sneaky bargain hunters have any suggestions?

EDIT: Ended up getting them for $353~ during Black Friday price match with Officeworks.

Cheers,

Sullie

I went to TGG today and asked for best price, the guy offered it for $355. It’s $5 more than what has been posted on the other thread but I took it anyway.

    • Which store was that?

        Nunawading VIC

    • How did you manage to get $355?

    • Which TGG? Or are you able to share a receipt?

  • Best thing to do is go in the store and ask for a discount and see what they can do

  • Duty free have it for around $360 🙏

    • LOL!

Yeh, you're not getting it better than $350-360 without stealing em…

    • I got it for $350 today?

  • Just ordered for $349 (AUS Stock, 100% seller rating) -

    • I would suggest taking a good look at the box and the item when you got it. The eBay listing I initially bought these from looked very similar and they turned out to be fake/older gen AirPods in AirPod Pro casing.

      • Thanks for the tip. I have paid through PayPal so I am hoping I can get a refund if it turns out to be a fake.
Also is anyone aware of a way to make sure these are authentic from the Apple website?

Update: As you warned, this turned out to be a high-quality fake. Not easily noticeable if you are specifically looking for it. The seller has accepted the refund and I am in the process of returning.

        • That's rough — glad you detected it though. Seems to be a trend with these. Thanks for the update.

          • @Sullie: Just received the refund. Left a negative review and a feedback on the seller. Is there anything more I can do?
I am still annoyed at the fact that the seller can get away with selling a fake so easily. All he lost in this transaction is the postage charges, and that’s a pretty low risk when trying to sell a fake. This was supposed to be a gift :( Now I have to wait till I find a similar deal again. Price match with OW is my only trusted option now.

@alexis2837: You could also contact eBay support to make a complaint about the seller and ask them to investigate.

        • i thought it was illegal to send counterfit items through the post? i vaguelly recall someone using this arguement before to keep the fake item and still get refunded.
