Suggest Me a Good Budget Monitor!

Hey all,

I've recently purchased a Lenovo E595 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/495030
for general home internet use/study and I am wanting to get a second monitor for multi tasking, which I will mount to North Bayou F80 Gas Strut Monitor Mount (75x75 or 100x100 VESA, 2kg to 6.5kg, 17"-27").

I am looking for a monitor screen size of around 24", or less. Preferably IPS.. and vesa mount compatible of course. Second hands/refurbished doesn't bother me. Probably around $200 to spend for this.

I watched list some monitor screens before, but it ran out of stock at eBay. The ones I thought about are:
1) Dell U2414H
2) Dell P2317HT
3) HP Z22N

Could you guys please share your knowledge on this, provide your suggestions and help me as of written above?

  • Im actually finding issues with trying to find new monitors that will mount to the North Bayou now. Seems that alot of recessed VESA mounts and the North Bayou seems too large for that annoyingly.

    • I think North Bayou one has two options for 75 or 100? In saying that, I have a XB271HU before which was supposed to be VESA 100 and the North Bayou did not fit at all.

  • I'd look for a Dell P2419h.

    • Thanks, will look onto this.

      • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/499562 have a look at this deal U2419HC for $269 delivered ( as new )

        • Seems like a great find! Thank you.

Now a question, it says this monitor is USB C. The E595 have a USB-C charging port and HDMI. With this option, can I connect the USB C of the monitor to the laptop to charge it, while the monitor is connected to a power outlet? Or do I just use the E595's HDMI?

  • Not sure how well this mounts but this deal looks like a steal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/501874
