Don't know if it's a good deal, but I wouldn't spend $55/month to be on vodafone's network. Got average reviews, http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones/mobile-phones/sony-e…

The phone can be bought for less than $400 outright. Buy it outright -> put it on a TPG/Discovery/Think plan -> you have saved $big over 24 months-> give a cut to me.

      Where?

      • I'm sure this isn't the cheapest, but here it is for less than $400: http://www.techrific.com.au/sony-ericsson-xperia-play-androi…

If you don't mind buying an import from ebay: It's listed here for $381.23 (free shipping) and here for $369 (free shipping).

        • Nicely done sirs.

Outright purchase always win in terms of overall spend over the term.

          Telstra 850mhz version? : D

        • Add an extra $80 for delivery

    For $55/month this isn't a good deal.

Go for Samsung Galaxy II - $54

OR! if you kinda "allergic" to Voda

Virgin has it - at the same price

The mention of data on a voda network reminds me of a boat without a hull… useless.

    • Too true.. They need coverage and even more so, bandwidth its terrible.. Hardly worth paying for tbh.

  • lol, not a deal when you look at the outright price, it's recently been on ozbargin for under $400, oz stock, anyway a SE won't last a year little lone 24 months, remember this isn't a Sony product, it's a SE cheapo, suited to Vodafone from the feedback I have heard around here

    • It's a joint venture between Sony and Ericsson, so you get the best of both worlds.

Virgin has it for $54/month with free phone and $400 calls or $59 free phone with $700/month worth of calls and 3 GB of data. I think they also use Optus network, so if you are concerned about Vodafone you can go with Virgin
