Woolworths Free Coffee Machine

My wife just got back from Woolworths and had a free coffee machine when she bought some coffee pods, I’ve been using the pods for a while and the coffee isn’t too bad. The machine scanned at $99.99 then full price reduction.
The staff at the till didn’t know about the deal. I’m not sure how to post pictures yet but thought I’d let you guys know. It’s the Vitoria machine last on OzB in 2017

    Im interested in this…
How many coffee pods, which packet?

    • I’m sorry she didn’t get the details it looks like 6 packs of the pods gets the free machine, the packs range from 4.50-$9 for 12

Interesting. I have to admit the model of free or subsidised/discounted upfront for the machine, and then expensive consumables, is tried and tested over the years with printers, shavers, etc..

… but as long as you like the coffee and the pods aren't too unreasonably priced (even $9 for 12 sounds like a decent deal compared to original Nespresso pods) then you're winning!

Me, I have both a Nespresso and a Dolce Gusto machine as a result of discounted machines!

I like a drip filter coffee - tastes cleaner to me. Tried the pods at friends / family. It's okay. Still way more expensive per cup than a paper filter and a pack of ground coffee.

real coffee connoisseurs know drip is the best. pod machine made coffee is in it for the gimmick and trend.

    • Yes looks the same

  • This is a capsule machine, not a pod machine. It was tested by CHOICE and given a score of 49%. This is clearly a stunt to get you hooked on their own capsules. You won't have the variety of brands that you get with the Nespresso capsule system (you don't need to buy the Neslé ones for Nespresso). The prices of their capsules are OK, but not the best IMO.
