Akubra Cattleman - $142.50 (+ Shipping $10) @ Port Phillip Shop

220

List price is $190, which is about normal ($200 at RM).

Unsure of when this deal finishes, but I was looking at these and this was the best price I could find. Doesn't have all the colours of some other stores, but has the main one being fawn.

I haven't bought one myself yet (waiting to get home to measure), so if someone else finds a better price I'd be happy to see it!

Do you have the white accountant's special?

Nungar Trading Company is cheaper (and typically runs at 75-80% RRP for a lot of products). The only trick is that they're a 1 (maybe 2) person business so service/speed can be lacking. Mileage varies depending what stock they're holding/can get

    • Any idea what their shipping rates are? Can't find it or check out easily on mobile.

  • $148.99 free shipping at Gooleys, 4 colours available.

  • The larger discount codes sometimes work with these guys: https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/actionbikeski

e.g. I used a recent 20% off code with ^ to get an Akubra Traveller for $134.40 shipped :)

  • Any of these (OP's post and links in comments) made in Australia?

  • I purchased this hat 12 months ago. It's a good hat, be sure to get fitted correctly if purchasing as the internal leather band tightens over time (most Akubras do). Follow the care instructions and this hat will last a lifetime.

      • 'First and foremost - never leave your hat in the car or in direct sunlight when not being worn.' .The very first point..Now I generally buy a hat for sun protection and being in contact with my sweaty scalp I am sure does not assist the leather much with protection from elements.. I went to South Africa got a custom fitted hand made leather hat for 30 AUD mind you that was 17 years ago.. the hat is still going strong and I do leave it wherever it is convenient no molly coddling… 30 dollars is a lot :-) Akubra are great but over priced UNLESS you do not travel IMHO of course. If you do travel on the other hand and want an Akubra Both North and South Africa has some outstanding offerings

  • Keep an on Allingtons https://www.allingtons.com.au/ - they have regular specials (Cattleman currently $159) but then they'll have 'super specials'

  • The people buying this better be cattlemen
