Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f/1.8 Lens Silver $256 Shipped (HK) @ TobyDeals

160

Next closest I could find was around $320 and seems to be around $400 at most places. Shame it's only the silver one. Pretty ok considering the aperture. Remember it's a 90mm equivalent.

Haven't used TobyDeals before but seems like it's smarter to pay with paypal.

That looks like blue to me….. or am i just color blind?

    • They haven't heard of white balance. It's a decent lens I had one at one point

    • I kinda wish it was blue, irl the zuiko ones are plain silver.

I think the blue is the "new plastic wrapping"

    • It's just the protective plastic film it ships with - unsure why they even have it in the photo lol

    • they didn't take the plastic protective "film" off…funny buggers…great lens by the way

This was $231 on camerastore ebay with a discount last month. Kicking myself for not getting it at that price

i managed to get it, and sold out minutes later before i was even able to share it. hoping for a deal on the 60mm macro

It's an excellent and very sharp lens, highly recommend.

    • Any idea how much better the f1.2 version is?

      • +1

        It's 0.6 better.

Seriously, it's in a completely different price bracket. You'll be happy with the f1.8 unless you're a pro.

          …even then

If money and weight and size is no object, get the 1.2. It can do things that the 1.8 cannot optically, being a stop faster.

However, if money, weight and/or size is a factor, then the 1.8 needs serious consideration. This thing is TINY. And sharp. And cheap. You are getting 90-95% of the 1.2 for 1/6th the price and at 1/4 the weight and half the size.

It can be better in some extreme conditions, like shooting portraits in the dark. But for most cases, as I understand, they will produce very similar results. All that said f1.2 is a lot more expensive and bulkier.

  • Fantastic lens at this price

  • amazing lens, but why does it look blue??!

also isnt there like a bad reviews for tobydeals?

    • Pretty sure they mainly sell grey import stuff. They're based in Hong Kong anyway.

    • It comes wrapped in blue plastic in the box.

  • any ultra wide-angle lens for sales? I want to get one without breaking the bank.
