    Word of warning, measure the cutout size before buying these;

    I bought these last time they went on sale to replace my existing 90mm downlights. The size of the light including the lip around the edge is 90mm, so it will sit almost all the way inside a standard 90mm cutout leaving a rough edge. You really need an 80mm cutout otherwise the lip won't cover the cutout.

    Had to return them in the end.

      • Thanks for this. So this ad is a bit misleading then.. not really suitable for 90mm cutouts.

        thanks for the photos, 90mm is a bit misleading, we will change the title.

    • Guess they more 80mm then 90mm

    • Thanks, do you know if they will they fit 70mm cutouts or does it need to be closer to but not quite 90mm?

      • There's a manual somewhere online which has the full dimensions in a technical drawing that will tell you if 70mm will work. But from memory i'd say an 80mm cutout is probably ideal

  • Are these actual Philips hue?

    • yeah I'm pretty skeptical. Have never seen this product on the Philips site and not carried by any local retailers/authorised re-sellers

      • Yea same. Sounds more like a 3rd party zigbee like Zenismart rebranded as Philips hue

  • I can't see an IC rating. Are these safe to use if the roof is insulated?

    • This downlight is not IC rated, it requires a 5cm clearance from any type of insulation.

      • Ohhhh.. shame. I hope Philips come out with a 90mm downlight with an IC rating soon.

      • Thanks
        Are there any zigbee solutions (I only need dimming and warm white) that are IC rated?

    • Should be able to use a capping?
