Awesome thanks for that. Haven't bought a Book of Records since 2000 so it's about time I upgraded.

Neither have I - they were fascinating when I was a kid but the last edition I bought had gotten too silly, full of crap like the fastest person to complete a sack race while juggling an egg and spoon, or stuff of that nature. Has the book gone back to its roots more recently or just gotten worse?

A world record for the fastest ozbargain item to go out of stock.

  • Out of stock :(

  • Sold out already .. bugger!

The postage fee probably costs more than the book. This is almost a give away price.

Probably clearing out stock getting ready for the 2012 edition (normally comes out in Oct/Nov IIRC)

That price has got to be a guinness world record!

Make we could set a record for most subject related puns on one webpage?

I picked up a copy from kmart in north rocks nsw for $7 along with "Ripley's Believe it or Not 2011" for the same price. they had about 10 of each on the shelf.

I must admit I get a Records book every few years and love to compare :)

  • I think amazon had it earlier in the year for $1.99 or something. But you had to get the order up to 25 pounds to make it free shopping. So not the cheapest it has ever been.

    • Does the 1.99 includes free delivery?

  • This page is starting to sound like a broken record…
