Braun Multiquick 9 Vs Breville Kitchen Wizz 8 Plus Opinions Please

Hi All,

So I've been a bit stumped now, originally I was looking at getting the Breville as I wanted a food processor (for chopping, julliene, slicing, pureeing, making sauces, dips, grinding spices, making nut flours etc) and blender (for smoothies, pesto, sauces, soups, pastes) combo. So I thought the kitchen wizz 8 plus seemed to be a decent choice.

However a storeperson at Myer introduced me to the Braun Multiquick 9 and said it can do all the same things, but will take less space etc and is quite powerful. I've never used a hand held blender before and didn't even think to look at them as I assume they weren't very powerful but it seems I was wrong. I was also worried when I read about the plastic cracking and the motor would need a rest after 10 seconds.

Could I please get some advice on which would be better? If there's anyone out there who owns these products please let me know your thoughts!

Thanks all!

  • No idea about Breville but we have the multiquick which works well and powerful.

Can I muddy the waters by throwing the Bamix into the mix. They have a 20 year warranty on their motors.

  • I might add a late comment by saying we had a Breville Kitchen Wizz Peel and Dice food processor and it was so heavy and space consuming it got used 2 times in 4yrs. Just sold it and now looking for the Braun Multiquick unit after seeing/trying out at a friends place. Much lighter and easier for women who aren't confident moving heavy kitchenware around, unless of course you're lucky and have a massive bench it can permanently sit on.

    • When we designed our kitchen we made the benches extra deep. Most of the workhorse appliances sit back on the bench until I need them then I move the forward. Just something people should think about if they are building a house.
