    Big W

Gotta say, Big W has been doing well with the price drops for gaming and toys/lego lately

  • I'm still trying to get through the first few missions of GTAV

      After 6 years, I'd suggest a different hobbie…

      • What if I never finished vice city?

        • It's the last dance for Lance Vance!

    • I finally finished GTAV this year. On PS4.

I had bought a PS3 copy at launch as well.

      • I've just played through again, for probably the fifth time or so. Such a great game, can't believe it's six years old and still plays so well.

Easily one of the greatest games i have ever played

  • Is the game worth it? I am on the fence on buying this one. Since I dont play as much as I used to. Do not want to waste buying it and only to collect dust.

    • Great game but it’s massive. Will take many, many hours to finish.

      • Is there a finish?
I played single-player few years ago and reached the point where it looks like there is something left to do for one character… The young bloke… But I could not figure it out what exactly…

There is an end to the story, however free roam is available after the end of the main story to mop up side missions/get 100% completion. Similar to the original where you start playing as Jr.

    • Fantastic, but need to invest time into it.

    • Thanks for the reply above. I cant commit to the time to play this yet. I will just have to wait next year to have it marked down more. To make it worthwhile the purchase while playing seldomly.

        I agree with you.

I could never get into the first RDR. I tried.
I have three versions of RDR.

I have the PS3 Disk version, I swear it was going to destroy the DVD drive with how it gave it a workout.
When it was on sale, I bought the digital version on PS3 so the DVD would now die.

Then I got the XBOX 360 version to run on Xbox one.

This is my experience with the game on each platform, version, it lasts about 30 minutes

I jump on the horse, ride around. Shoot some stuff, birds, animals, people. I do not think I completed the first mission.

        But I keep buying it.

I saw this RDR2 earlier in the week at the same price already, I think Target kept it at $39 and has been that price since Black friday?

I am sure I will do the same on this RDR2

I have too many games, but it seems I only play one of them consistently.

I will hold off too until it is half of this price.

Better to support Big W than Bezos.
Buy from Amazon and physical retailers will stop selling games. Who wants to wait for postage.

    • Yes ^^… but some don't have time to go to retailer, and when something's on sale it's more difficult as it goes oos.

  • Hopefully this hangs around until after pay day, I promised myself nothing more until then… But I've been waiting a while for this game to come down to a good price, when I had a sniff around the other day it was still around $60.

    • Buy from Big W with afterpay…?

      • Probably a good shout - I haven't used Afterpay before but might start here.
