PayPal doesn't hold accountability for their resolution system fumbles

So I bought a drone off Banggood,
Its faulty so I return it after opening a case through paypal,
I send it to the address given to me through the PayPal after its escalated,
I upload a photo of the receipt as requested,
The status stays as 'waiting for seller to reply'
Time goes by, for a while with no changes so I wait for delivery to do it's thing,
After a few weeks I see it's awaiting clearance in customs, Banggood need to claim it from customs but they say it's in a different district to them, even though I posted it exactly to the address mentioned by PayPal,
I go to check the details of the case, I see it's closed without refund, I contact PayPal and they tell me I never sent proof that it was sent, i told them that I still have the photos and the system was stuck on waiting for the seller to reply after my upload,
PayPal just closed the dialogue with me after that message…

It seems the safety PayPal claims to offer is nothing more than placebo to spend more money.

Yeah paypal screwed me too recently like that. I think its intentional. If I was more on the ball, I would keep calling and calling whenever I had a free moment, and just tie up their phone lines.

Call PayPal. They are much easier to deal with on the phone.

    • thanks, i called them, sent the photo of the receipt that they needed but now they are saying it doesnt show the address that the tracking number is going to, so now i gotta get aconsignment thing ughh. hardest 157 ive had to work for, hate to imagine the rate per hour considering its just a refund aswell lol

      • Tell them of course it doesn't, they only ask for tracking and you have provided it. I also have the joy of dealing with them at the moment, had a buyer use their bosses credit card which they've now down a chargeback with, happy days haha!

  • Elon's gotta get his money for mad scientist projects somehow, may as well get it by scamming everyone :)

    • Lol he created it but he sold it off to do cool stuff, he's no longer affiliated with PayPal

      • Lol, he didn't create it.

        • Oh founded lol sorry

          • @phor8: He wasn't even a founder - he had an unsuccessful online-banking startup in the rented-office next door.
The company that created PayPal (at that stage the PayPal product was focused on eBay payments) had aspirations of becoming an online bank, so they merged with Musk's company. Musk was CEO for only 6 months before the board ousted him and the company returned its focus back to online payments.

Telsa (and its Roaster) was also a thing before Musk bought into the company and took control.
