< $200 Local Phone?

Looking for a sub $200 phone that is sold locally with warranty. Only priorities are lightness and long battery life.

Screen, camera, OS and connectivity are unimportant. Just need it for web browsing and watching Youtube on the go. Thanks.

    • The best rated ones are all $2xx. I need under $200.

      • Nokia 5.1 great phone for the price with local warranty and a battery that easily lasts a day.
Aldi had this for $199 few weeks ago and some stores may still have stock left or from JB - https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/nokia-5-1-plus-white?vari… (They had a 5% off store wide code recently. Check if that still works)

        • Great, thanks. It's OOS everywhere around me. Will wait until someone else has it.

          • @hexapling: It is a clearance item, hence the cheaper price and you may not find in store everywhere. Ordering online would be the best method.

  • Samsung a20/a30 on prepaid? Not sure how feasible unlocking them is if you need unlocked.

Samsung Galaxy A20 is definitely a good pick, $179 locally from Telstra and there are reports of people able to unlock it using a paid tool for just a few dollars. You just need to avoid updating the firmware first. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/7825877/redir

spec wise somewhat comparable to Nokia 5.1

    • Ta, I'll get this instead. Read somewhere that the Nokia series all have faulty USB-C charging sockets after a couple months of use. Should I wait for the A30 this coming Boxing Day instead?
