I simply couldn't get past the outwardly sexist main character. That's seriously not cool and completely turned me off the game, which honestly was just ok anyway and nothing special.

Really struggled to get into this game and found it really ‘Grindy’. I probably got 3 or 4 hours in and hated it. I’m told that it does get better but I just can’t be bothered. OzB makes it even more difficult coz I’ve got like 3 or 4 unopened games I paid $20 for which are supposedly much better like AC Odessey, God of War and Spider-Man
So you're saying AC:Odessy is better than this game? I played for 2 hours and I gave up. I repurchased it for the Xbox one to see if the games patches has improved.
I am really enjoying the game. Bought it last week and it is really good. It's not a fast pace game like COD, but more like Last of Us. If you enjoyed last of us, I think you will like this one. I heard the game had a lof of bugs initially. Looks like they have patched most.

Only an average game, and the main character is a sexist, so keep that in mind before purchasing. Would rather play Mad Max, that was a great game.
People have so much hatred for this game. But in reality this is awesome game. One of the best in 2019.Bend Studios nailed it. Story wise presentation wise and gameplay wise. You get a tons of content worth every dollar of your money. Hordes are blast.
Great price but now shows as out of stock for me when I went on chat to try for $11 credit after I bought a couple of weeks ago in Amazon Black Friday sale - they said no, but I could return as still sealed item
Yeah, tried it with kingdom hearts 3 when it went to $19 and customer support said they don't do price reduction refund.

I got this two days before the review embargo lifted, put about 10 - 12 hours into the game before I saw the reviews filtered through. I just could not comprehend the particularly harsh reviews and the points they raised (with the exception of technical issues, since most reviews were largely played through pre 1.03 patch - but hey, that’s 100% Bend’s fault). Being as objective (which reviews aren’t, I know) as possible, I could see this being scored as low as 7/10, but was a solid 9/10 for me. Glad it sold extremely well, sequel is almost guaranteed.
